New Orleans is rumored to have a strong presence of ghosts and spirits. The city’s reputation for its connection to the supernatural has led authors like Anne Rice (“Interview with the Vampire”) to set their stories here. In this video, you will stop outside of Muriel's Jackson Square, a restaurant serving creole food. It sits on the location of a man who ended his own life. The restaurant is frequently visited by his spirit. There is even a table reserved nightly for his spirit - on which you can dine. You then will arrive at the LaLaurie Mansion, made famous in American Covent, and once owned by Nicolas Cage. You will hear the horrific story of the sadistic Delphine LaLaurie and the haunted spirits of the enslaved humans who became victims of her torture. And lastly, you will hear the story of the Axman, who terrorized many in the Italian-American community of New Orleans, and would spare lives whenever jazz music was being played.
